This policy explains what personal data esport-schedule.com collects when you create and use an account, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have — including deleting your account and everything tied to it.

Browsing match schedules without an account does not require any personal data.

When you create an account, we store:

• your email address (email/password accounts and Google accounts only — Steam accounts typically have none on file);
• a securely hashed version of your password (email/password accounts only — we never store or see your Google or Steam password);
• your display name and avatar image (from Google or Steam, or entered by you at signup);
• your account status (active, disabled, or deleted) and last sign-in time;
• your default theme preference (light/dark), once you set one;
• which third-party providers (Google, Steam) are linked to your account.

Google. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google to create or match your account. Google handles the authentication itself; we never receive your Google password.

Steam. If you sign in with Steam, we receive your SteamID, persona name and avatar from Steam’s public web API to create or match your account. Steam does not provide an email address, so Steam-only accounts have none on file.

Using either option is also subject to that provider’s own privacy policy, which we do not control and which applies independently of this one.

The email/password signup form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which analyzes interaction signals from your browser to score how likely a submission is automated. This involves Google receiving technical data from your browser during signup; it does not affect Google or Steam sign-in, which don’t use reCAPTCHA.

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to measure page views in aggregate. It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data.

Our Contact page embeds a form hosted by Tally. Messages you submit there are processed by Tally on our behalf and are subject to Tally’s own privacy practices.

Signing in sets a single session cookie needed to keep you logged in; it is strictly necessary for the service to work and isn’t used for tracking. Your theme preference is stored in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie, and is never sent to us unless you also save it to your account. Google reCAPTCHA (see above) may set its own cookies during signup, governed by Google’s privacy policy.

To create and secure your account, let you sign in, remember your preferences, prevent automated abuse, and understand aggregate site usage. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account from the “My account” page, we immediately and permanently erase your email address, password, display name and avatar, delete your saved preferences, and disconnect any linked Google/Steam sign-in. A bare internal record (an account identifier marked as deleted) is kept so a deleted or disabled account can’t simply be recreated to bypass a suspension — this record can no longer be linked back to you.

This site is hosted in the European Union, and personal data is processed under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regardless of where you access it from. You have the right to access, correct, or erase your data, restrict or object to its processing, and request a copy of it in a portable format. You can exercise most of this yourself at any time from the “My account” page — viewing or updating your details, changing preferences, or permanently deleting your account — with no need to contact us.

For anything self-service doesn’t cover, reach us through our Contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority — in France, the CNIL — or with the authority in your own country of residence.

Google and Valve (Steam) are based in the United States. Choosing to sign in with either means some of your data is processed there under that provider’s own safeguards for transfers from the EU, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent adequacy mechanism.

This site is not directed at children and accounts require you to meet the minimum age described in our Terms of use.

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the current version.
